Candy is very attached to his dog just like how George is attached to Lennie both relationships are very similar but they do have a few differences the dog is old, stinks, and Is on the brink of death it can’t move or eat because it has no teeth. Candy takes care of his dog since it has no teeth like how George takes care of Lennie so he doesn’t get lynched. All in all they both have to take care of each other so that they can avoid lonliness.
